Surrounded by a chewy brownie dough…
With a chocolately shell that crunches with every bite you take…
That’s what you’re in for with these Ferrero Rocher inspired bliss balls!
I love having bliss balls as an afternoon snack or dessert. I’ve made many different variations but this one is my favorite.

What are Bliss Balls?
Bliss balls are the perfect little snacks! They are satisfying, nutrient-dense bites with a good balance of fats, protein and complex carbs. They come in many varieties but the base is typically dates and nuts. I like to add pea protein and oats to mine to level up the nutrients and because I really like the consistency.
Ferreo Rocher Bliss Balls
These bliss balls are crunchy, chewy, crispy and chocolatety. The perfect little snack or dessert!
Equipment
- 1 Food processor
Ingredients
- 200 g dried dates pitted
- 50 g oats
- 30 g protein powder optional
- 30 g hazelnuts roasted
- 18 hazelnuts roasted
- 40 g hazelnut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar or extract
- Pinch salt
- 150 g 72 % dark chocolate
- Soy crispies or roasted and chopped hazelnuts
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients except for the 18 whole hazelnuts, chocolate and soy crispies to a food processor.
- Blend until you have a sticky dough. If it's too dry, and 1 TBSP of non-dairy milk at a time.
- Roll into 18 balls and hide one hazelnut in each.
- Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
- Add the soy crispies to the melted chocolate.
- Cover each ball in the chocolate mixture and place on a plate.
- Transfer to the fridge and store until the chocolate has become solid.
- Keep the ones you don't eat right away in a bag or container in the freezer. They have a very short thaw-time, so you can (almost) enjoy them right away!
Notes
If using chopped hazelnuts instead of soy crispies, roll the balls in them after you've covered them in chocolate.
